Does your cat 'flirt' with you when she wants attention? I ask this not as a perverted question...?

My cat, well really she's a member of the family and everybody's 'baby', is a huge flirt. Not in a sexy way or anything weird like that, but she has a way of coyly curling up in cute positions when she wants attention. She gets a shy look on her face and curls up her front paws and generally looks so adorable that eventually someone gives in and pets her. The expressions and the way she holds herself are almost human and very definitely flirty. We're not a family of flirts so I don't think it's something she picked up from us...

So anyway, does your cat flirt with you, or is my cat somehow unique in her flirty manipulations?

that is sooo sweet...my kitty gurl does some stuff like that, she comes near and keeps brushing against us back %26amp; forth...then jumps on the sofa puts her paw on our shoulder, and then lick our neck or face...then slowly gets down to our lap, and curls up like a cute doll, and looks us at in a kind of i dunno...cute, innocent, babyish look ?!!....mebbe itz jus your cats way of getting attention, and I think she is the only pet, a pampered %26amp; spoiled one..:)
Reply:that "flirty" thing cats do is actually a show of affection to you...she looks at you and half lowers her head and eyelids...it does look like flirting...

your cat must really be loved and is loving you back. my pringers does this.

when she wants attention she jumps in my lap and smashes down my paper or book and demands attention, or she soft paws my legs untill i move to a chair that she can get into my lap in.
Reply:cats are like that. They even purr around your legs, that means it likes you and wants attention.
Reply:Cat want penis
Reply:Cats are pretty smart animals, as we don't undersand all the subtle signals of their body language, they very quickly learn what gets our attention and then adopt that behaviour whenever they want something.

My current two cats whilst sociable are not overly affectionate towards us. However the female has mastered the art of kitten-like mewling and cute poses when she wants something. She is never so affectionate as when she wants something to eat . I think the term "cupboard lover" describes her perfectly. She's also adopted the habit of flopping and rolling onto her back if she wants her belly rubbing.

I accept it as part of their independent nature - sharing my home with them, means everything is on their terms (lol)
Reply:very unique alrite!!

i no a cat that every time it can gt out and does, it comes back with eight kitties!!
Reply:That's normal cat behaviour - your cat sounds very charming.
