there is this guy that i work with and have a huge crush on. he talks to me a lot about random things, and smiles and says hi a lot and makes a lot of eye contact with me and says funny things to make me laugh, so is he flirting with me? and why does he do this, does he like me? why do guys flirt?

I am a male flirt. It gets me in trouble a lot -- which is why I have so many girlfriends wanna hang out with me instead of thier boyfriends ( ._.). Usually I don't mean it as anything, but when I do the person REALLY knows it. From what you are saying he might be interested in you. Ask him about him some, see if you wanna hit up spider-man 3 in next week. The big difference between me flirting for the sake of flirting and me flirting or the sake of dating is the actual doing of stuff. If I like the girl, I'll want to spend more time with her. Sounds obvious, but it really isn't.





What is the worse thing that can happen. He says no. Oh well. It is like breaking a leg. It hurts like a ***** until you finally get it reset and the major pain goes away. Yeah, it might sting a little, but a lot less than the confusion you put yourself through by not knowing. Plenty of flirts left in the sea ;-)

Reply:Yep, sounds like flirting to me. He is doing this for one of these reasons. 1. He really does like you, but wants to flirt to fill you out and make sure you like him more than a friend before he makes the next move. 2. He likes talking to you and thinks you are a fun friend and just a friend. or 3. He flirts with everyone and is doing it because he can....some men get this "macho high" off women they flirt with, so they know that they "still got it". So, if you want to see if he's into you suggest going to lunch together or getting a coffee or something simple to see where it goes. Sometimes men just don't get "subtle hints" so if you work up the courage, you may just have to whack him over the head and be blunt and honest about how you feel about him. Reply:To be honest, I don't think he's flirting with you. He probally sees you more as a co-worker that he loves to hang out with. Work isn't all that fun, so you got to make the best out of it. I do recommend that if you like him tell him. If he really does like you, then he'll know the next move.
Reply:So, let me get this straight...if a guy is nice to a girl, she takes that as "flirting"? I always thought that flirting went a little past just being friendly. You know, like way too much eye contact and always in the other person's space/face. If you don't know the difference between "flirting" and just "being nice" to someone, maybe you're not ready to date. And, it's not a good idea to date/flirt with co-workers.
