JK but I DO need some help.





I have a date this weekend. Im an outgoing person, playful, fun, and a good conversationalist. My date this wknd is cute and all, but he's kind of on the shy side and he's very conservative.. Most of my dates in the past were the outgoing and even the cocky types! So, I used to flirt with them as if there was no tomorrow.. If I flirted with my date like I used to with my other dates, would that scare him off? I'm really touchy/feely and like bubbly...(?) when I like someone and am flirting with them. I'm really worried that he wont like me cause I think he's a keeper!!

Reply:Well if I were you I would try to make him come out of his shell a little bit before you actually start full on flirting. Like start out by saying, "So, what do you like to do in your free time?" and stuff like that. When you see him start to get more comfortable with talking to you, start saying a little bit flirty things, but not too flirty. Then when he's even more comfortable, then I would say it's ok to flirt. That way he's gotten used to your personality and is more comfortable around you. But if you think he's getting uncomfortable, slow down a little. And give him chances to ask you questions and talk to you, too. And I wouldn't be too touchy-feely on the first date because you don't know how he'll feel, and you just want everyone to be comfortable. But, you know, you could probably like touch his arm when saying something really deep, like if he said something that might have been a little depressing to him (for example, his dog died a few months before). Then you could probably touch his arm or put your hand on his and say how sorry you are and how it must have been really hard to go through. But it's definately up to you to decide. If you feel uncomfortable, chances are he's feeling the same way. Just play it by ear.
